1. After set up, double-clickthe DVD-Cloner icon displayed on your desktop.
2. Select the location of your DVD source file. (If you do not have a DVD-ROM drive, you can select the DVD burner as the source location.)
3. Select the location to which the DVD will be cloned; typically this will be your DVD burner.
4. Place the source DVD into the DVD-ROM drive, and thenplace a blank DVD into the DVD burner.
If you are using the DVD burner as the source location, place the source DVD into the DVD burner. After the contents of the source DVD is converted, the software will remind you to replace the source DVD with a blank DVD.
5. If you are running DVD-Cloner for the first time, click OK to set the working directory as the default. If you have used DVD-Cloner previously, the software will skip to Step 6.
If you prefer to use another directory, you may select a temporary directory, or a partition of the hard drive. The alternative directory or partition must have a minimum of 10GB free disc space. If using the D5 DVD format, or the "Fit on 1 Disc" option, the minimum disc space needed is 5GB.
6. Select the mode of the target DVD. You may select from the following two options:
"Fit on 1 Disc"- When selected, a D9 DVD will clone to a single D5 DVD. If "Clone to D9" is checked, the DVD will clone to a double-layer disc.
"Split Discs" - When selected, a D9 DVD will clone the contents of the DVD onto two D5 DVDs.
7. After completing Steps 1-6, click the Start button to begin the cloning process. The conversion and recording of the source DVD typically takesabout an hour, but may range anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours.
Once the cloning process is complete, you may use your DVD drive or burner to review the contents of the cloned DVD. Enjoy! |
